Hello Hello sweet friends! I’m back and couldn’t be happier to be sitting down writing to you all. I haven’t posted since November and my goodness there’s been a lot of change happening since then. So if you are up for it let’s catch up!
I thought it would be fun to re-introduce myself as I am different than the person I was when I started this blog. I am Michaela, I am 26, newly single after a 10-year relationship, I live in a cozy apartment, I love fashion, creating coziness, books, and so many other things. I started a podcast at the beginning of February called (laughteroverlattes) you can find it anywhere you listen to podcasts, I also started my own business called Michaela Courand Consulting ( where I help companies/brands big and small with their marketing and social media presence), and most recently decided to become a part-time Madewell Stylist!!
Since becoming single late last year, I have been on a journey to nourish and pour all that energy I used to give to the relationship back into myself. This has felt strange and made me selfish at times because I naturally like taking care of others more than myself but as time moves on, I am seeing the true value in it. I am learning more about who I truly am, how I want to show up to my life and the people in it, and it’s given me time to look deeply into my patterns and behavior. I don’t want this to sound like I am fully changing who I am because that isn’t what I am doing but I am trying to heal parts of myself that I have hidden away and not dealt with. I also trying to grow and blossom as a person and take up space. I wrote a post about that last year and I am still learning how to do that. To not shrink or change myself for the comfort of others because at the end of the day I want to like me and that’s more important than if others do.
The last 6-7 months have been exhausting, trying, heartbreaking, beautiful, joyful, painful and so much more. I can’t wait to dive back into blogging and talking to you all who I consider my friends. Let me know how you are!
