Things I’ve been loving lately!
Hi friends! How are you all? Are you enjoying your Fall so far? I am truly soaking up every single second of it. The weather has been my absolute favorite. In the 60’s it was crisp and windy. So all the leaves are rustling and it truly feels like magic. This brings me to today’s post! I thought it would be fun to round up things that are bringing me great joy right now.
A book favorite from October so far was the Ex Hex! I did a little review a few blog posts back if you’d like to see what it’s about but I absolutely adored it. I wish I could find another book like it to cozy up and read.

A candle favorite has been Apple Cider Stand from StorybookCandle that I found on Bookstagram! It is truly the essence of warm apple cider being sipped on a chilly fall day. When I light it truly makes me feel so cozy and I am going to have to buy like 3 more to burn all year long.

A nail favorite right now is dark burgundy or purple nails! I have been getting gel on my nails once a month and it’s one of my favorite forms of self-care. I am one of those girls that feel naked or weird without nail polish on their nails. I just really prefer them to be done, I think it honestly finishes my look haha. Does anyone feel this way too?

Two shows I have been loving right now are Vampire Diaries and Good Witch. I have seen both before so I am re-watching them and it’s something I find so sweet and cozy in the evening. I do have to do my Twilight and Harry Potter marathon though it’s on my Fall bucket list 🙂 I also watch Gilmore girls as a quintessential fall comfort show. Let me know what you are watching right now!
An outfit that I absolutely loved wearing is this one! I just got this blazer from Zara and it truly makes all my light academia autumn dreams come true! Now if only I could transport myself to Oxford or Cambridge and get to walk around there in that outfit I’d be in heaven! I also bought these boots during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and I am so happy I grabbed them. They are the most gorgeous color and fit. They feel like Stuart Weitzman but much less expensive!

A drink I have been loving is cinnamon and turmeric tea with foamed milk and additional pumpkin pie spice. It truly is fall in a cup if you want something besides a chai tea or pumpkin spice latte.
An activity I am loving is picking out where things are going to go in my new apartment! I am moved (again haha). I say again because I moved into my first apartment last December and I decided to not renew my lease for the apartment I am currently in and move into a new one. It’s a one-bedroom instead of a studio and I truly can’t wait. There are a lot of reasons behind this move and wanting to close the chapter on the one I am in now besides just wanting a bigger space. So I am so happy to be able to do that. I’ll show you guys soon!
A yummy treat I am loving is gluten-free mini apple cider muffins from this bakery near me! I don’t typically get to eat many Fall treats they sell in bakeries because they don’t make them gluten-free so when I found these I was SO excited haha. They are like mini apple cider donuts and are cinnamony heaven. I have also been baking all the pumpkin treats! Last week I made gluten-free pumpkin bread with chocolate chips and pecans and this week I made GF pumpkin spice pancakes. What is your favorite fall treat?!
The last favorite is picking out what kind of holiday decor I am going to put up in my new apartment! Last year, I was waaaay too late in the game to get holiday decorations because I was so stressed with moving so this year I made a little pact with myself that I wanted to enjoy the season to the fullest so I already bought a faux Christmas tree and now am figuring out how I want to decorate it and the rest of my space. I will probably put up my decor right after Thanksgiving! Are you someone that decorates before or after Thanksgiving?

Let me know some of your recent favorites! This year has been incredibly hard for me and a by-product of that is not posting on my blog much. But that is a big goal of mine for the rest of the year and as we enter into 2022! Writing makes me so happy and I want to really dive into that passion more. So stay tuned!
